Getting started
How do I create an event? +
Sign in, go to My events, and click New event. Give it a name — "Mia's 8th birthday", "Mountain View Eagles 2026", whatever fits — and save. The event is created immediately; you can add a cover photo and pick a card style at any time.
How do I add a cover photo? +
On the event page, click Upload cover and pick a photo from your device. Max size is 10 MB. The cover appears on your printable QR card and on the guest gallery's top section. You can replace it any time by clicking Replace cover.
What's the difference between the card styles? +
Five styles ship with PhotoShare: Classic, Love, Moments, Fun, and Legacy. Each is a different look for the printable QR card you give your guests — fonts, colors, and layout. The gallery itself looks the same regardless. Try a few and pick what fits the vibe of your event.
Plans & pricing
Every event is on a plan. The free plan captures every photo during your event and keeps your most recent few afterward; paid plans keep every photo in full resolution with a one-tap zip download. You pick or upgrade a plan from your event's detail page — once, for that event.

How upgrading works: open your event's detail page and use the Plan section — pick a plan and pay once. Upgrading keeps every photo in full resolution and reveals any that were hidden when a free event settled. You can upgrade before, during, or after the event. Already on a paid plan? Moving up to a bigger one costs just the difference — for example Starter to Big Party is $10, not another $25. Guests are never charged.
What if my event fills up? Nothing stops. Photos past your plan's limit are still captured and stored safely — they're just held out of the gallery until you upgrade, and then they appear instantly. Your guests never see an upload error because a plan filled up, and we email you a heads-up when your event reaches about 80% of its limit.
Our guarantee: if a paid event captures fewer than 20 photos by the time it ends, we automatically refund that event — no need to ask — and you keep all your photos.
Managing your photos
How do I delete a single photo? +
Open the event, find the photo in the gallery, and use the delete control on that photo. The delete is immediate — there's no undo, so be sure before you click.
Can a guest delete a photo they uploaded? +
No. Guests don't have accounts, so uploads are anonymous — there's no way for the gallery to know which guest added which photo. Only the event host can delete photos. If a guest uploaded something by mistake, they should ask the host to remove it.
How do I download all the photos at once? +
On the event page, use the bulk-download option to grab a zip of the entire gallery. Originals are at full resolution — perfect for archiving or post-event slideshows.
What if a guest uploads something inappropriate? +
Delete the individual photo right away — it disappears from the guest gallery on next refresh. If you'd rather lock out the source entirely, delete the event and create a fresh one with a new QR card; the old link will stop working.
What happens to my photos after the event? +
On a free event, about 3 days after the first upload the event "settles": your 10 most recent photos stay visible and the rest are kept but hidden (nothing is deleted). Upgrade to a paid plan to bring them all back in full resolution — see Plans & pricing.
Your account
How do I change my password? +
Use the password reset flow — enter your email, click the link we send, and pick a new password. Works whether you remember the old one or not.
What does the Archive button do? +
Archiving freezes an event. Guests can still open the gallery, browse every photo, and download — but new uploads and new comments are blocked. Use it after the wedding or the party is over: the gallery stays up as a memento, you just stop collecting fresh content. You can unarchive any time and uploads reopen.
How do I delete an entire event? +
Open the event and use the delete control on its page. Deleting an event removes every photo in it along with the QR/share link — guests using an old link will get a "not found" page. Download the gallery first if you want to keep a copy. (If you just want to stop new uploads but keep the gallery viewable, use Archive instead — see above.)
